This is a Burning Vengeance archtype.
This deck plays as control, as most BV decks do. Past in Flames acts as the big finisher- I've dealt more than 20 damage with it with only 9/10 mana, and one thing this deck does very well- is hit a land drop every turn.
Gut Shot is probably the best card for this deck. The option to pay 2 life when flashing it back with snapcaster or Past in Flames is a game decider, as well as shooting down their one drop is just amazing.
Pillar of Flame is better than Shock on the mainboard I believe because of card's like Gravecrawler Strangleroot Geist and Geralf's Messenger. Undying is a pain in the ass to control decks- this helps.
Secrets of the Dead seem's like a no-brainer card, but I'd only want one to resolve per game. This is mainly in here to dig to the next Burning Vengeance you need or flashback spells.
Slagstorm is necessary for token decks or decks that act quick. End game I can deal some more damage to them as well, if I can take it too.
Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded is great. Whats his most valuable ability to me? His +1. Sometimes it certainly does hit the card I don't want it to, hell it seems like I can have 7 other cards in my hand but 50% of the time it will still hit my Snapcaster Mage or Burning Vengeance. But digging through the deck makes it the most important. I'd rather chance throwing out my BV when i'm digging for it than top deck way too many turns late for it. Also his ultimates can be somewhat scary for your opponent as well.
+1's and comments are greatly appreciated!
