This is a budget boros burn deck. You all know what the point of burn is so I'll jump right in to explaining each card. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Instant Damage

In general, these cards are for throwing at yur opponents face to do damage, although many can hit creatures in a pinch.

Lightning Bolt- Tried and True. No need to explain, there is no reason not to run an entire playset.

Lava Spike- A bolt that doesn't hit creatures. Most of the time this won't be a problem because we'll want to target the opponent anyways.

Rift Bolt- A bolt delayed one turn. Player damage is cumulative, so in the early game this is not a big problem.

Shard Volley- A bolt that you have to sac a land to cast. The reason that this is playable is that the deck can function on 2 or 3 lands, and any past that are pretty much pointless, and their best use is damage through this card.

Magma Jet- Below the curve on damage, but offers us something else. Remember, drawing a 4th land is pretty much useless unless you have Shard Volley in hand. Magma Jet lets us draw lands when we need them and avoid them when we don't, and because of this it's very much worth its mana cost.

Boros Charm- There are better options for damage, but the charm offers flexibility. I'm not sure how much you'd use the indestructible ability but giving a Monastery Swiftspear double strike after casting a few spells could represent more than 4 damage. It's very good in mirror matches against other decks that don't have that many creatures but you can side it out against decks that have a lot of blockers.

Lightning Helix- Offers respectable damage combined with extra longevity. Another excellent mirror match card because gaining 3 life means surviving another Lightning Bolt to the face, and that's a potential extra turn to finish your opponent.

Thunderous Wrath- The deck doesn't run draw outlets so when you draw it you'll definitely be able to cast it for miracle. The reason there is only one is because of its chance to be a dead card. If you have 1st turn it represents a 7/60 chance to be a dead card and 2nd turn makes it 8/60. If you get this in your opening hand and the other 6 cards aren't an actual god hand you might want to consider a mulligan. The reason for this is that a 7 card hand with Wrath in it is basically a 6-card hand where you're also losing the ability to cast wrath for miracle later. You'll probably be better off having an actual 6-card hand and keeping your chance to do 5 damage later. Remember that even with this downside, it's still almost twice the damage of Bolt for the same cost, which is definitely something you want.

Monastery Swiftspear- One of the best red 1-drops in modern. There are 32 noncreature spells in the deck, and most of them cost 1-2 mana, which represents a lot of potential prowess damage.

Spark Elemental- Ideal turn 1 drop. It represents 3 damage or a potential creature kill for 1 mana, which is very good.

Hellspark Elemental- A spark elemental with a nice bit of recusion. Unearth can be used as a small mana sink for the later game when we either have a small hand or want to save our spells.
