This deck uses Ephemerate to make a ton of value with etb creatures. There are a lot of shenanigans you can do with Ephemerate in this deck; one is casting Ephemerate on Tidehollow Sculler with his etb trigger on the stack. Because the rules text on Sculler has two separate paragraphs for the 'exile' and 'return to hand' clauses, it makes two separate triggers when it enters and leaves the battlefield. So, when you blink it with Ephemerate, the 'return to hand when it leaves the battlefield' trigger goes onto the stack on top of the initial 'exile a card from opponent's hand' trigger, which means that the card exiled by the first trigger is gone forever. This works the same way with Leonin Relic-Warder in the sideboard.

Wasteland Strangler is an amazing removal spell in this deck because we're playing so many exile effects (Tidehollow Sculler, Brutal Cathar  , Flickerwisp, Elite Spellbinder). Turn 2 Sculler into turn 3 Strangler to destroy a creature is the ideal curve.
