Hi all, thx for checking this out and dropping ur suggestions, much appreciated.
This is a BW Orzhov midrange/control slow burn deck built mostly using cards I scrounged up from #JOU packs. It relies heavily on enchantment and enchantment creatures. My major concern now is how to maintain/improve deck once RTR rotates out. The idea is to lock down or destroy opponents permanents / creatures while capitalizing on the synergy of enchantments. If you have any thoughts on how to improve this, by all means please let me know. If you like it, u know what to do (+1 hehehe).
An interesting observation I made after these few games I played - using enchantment creatures made me worry for Back to Nature or other similar enchantment killers, but surprisingly nobody bothered sideboarding such cards in any of the games. Perhaps competitive decks don't bother too much with opponents meta so much as trying to maximize their own meta?
So the cards are:
Master of the Feast AKA the Fat Bat: The major guns, T3 drop and brings the game home
Fate Unraveler : Burns opponent every card draw, complements Fat Bat.
Grim Guardian : Burns opponent every enchantment drop
Underworld Coinsmith: Gain life every enchantment drop, plus slow burn
Nyx-Fleece Ram: Life gain, T2 early blocker
Athreos, God of Passage: Critter return, indestructible damager
Odunos River Trawler: Creature return
Ethereal Armor: Damage pump per enchantment
Banishing Light, Pacifism, Doomblade, Hero's Downfall: Manage opponents permanents
Extinguish All Hope, Merciless Eviction: Board clearingOrzhov Charm: Return own creature to hand + Ethereal Armor
Current land distribution is as noted above since Ive yet to get my hands on enough copies of
Cave of Koilos
the Orzhov Guildgate can be dangerously slow with not scry benefit as opposed to Temple of Silence.
Also using Evolving Wilds in place of regular lands as fetching addresses mana issues AND has the added benefit of thinning out the deck, improving card draw probability. Still doesnt address issue of draw advantage though.
