This deck was tough to make. Originally, I had wanted to do a B/W deck with Ajani's Pridemate
+
Underworld Coinsmith
as the lifegain component with
Grim Guardian
as the pincher of the opponent. With this idea, I was hoping the Ajani's Pridemate would either serve as means of scaring the opponent into removal or eventually overwhelming them with it's sheer size. But, all in all, I decided to go with a straight up B/W Constellation deck.
The main focus here is Grim Guardian
+
Underworld Coinsmith
; I am going up while you are going down. Enchantments are in place to ensure that you are struggling to stay afloat and that your permanents are arrested.
Nyxborn Shieldmate
serves as the early 1 drop deterrent or as the mid game bestow to prock constellation.
[[Fate Unraveler] is the midgame champion; allowing for a beefy 3/4 for defense and attack while also hitting the Constellation.
The 5 mana level belongs to
Herald of Torment
and Indulgent Tormentor. These guys are nasty for their abilities at the 5 level. One could probably forgo the Indulgent Tormentors in favor of Heralds of Torment for the extra enchantments, but, personally I like to have the extra spice!
Stab Wound
, while a fairly expensive 3 mana common, is great for this deck. It procks the constellation while weakening an opponents creature and deals them damage each turn.
Sinister Possession
is a great early game answer to a 2/1 or something. Also, it works great on walls!
The latest thing I have added to this deck is the
God-Favored General
for his ability of producing two enchantment creature tokens is awesome for the mid to late game. He can be tapped either by
Springleaf Drum
or by convoking the Devouring Light. In fact, if you want to be really mean, you could attack with the
God-Favored General
and, when he is blocked (for fear of his ability), use Devouring Light on the creature blocking him! Creature removal, creature generation, and constellation procking all in one!
A major downfall here is the lack of removal. So I would suggest a Hero's Downfall or Bile Blight if you need. Another major downfall is the speed of this deck. It could easily be overwhelmed by a White soldier aggro, But, again, that could be fixed with a timely Bile Blight.
