Testing out a light green splash for two mainboard copies of Driven / Despair, one Maelstrom Pulse, and one Huatli, Radiant Champion. The sideboard has been modified to accommodate two Heroic Intervention as well.

The land base is altered with single copies and of Temple Garden, Overgrown Tomb, and Verdant Catacombs.

A particularly mean combo is to cast Collective Brutality discarding Driven / Despair to Escalate, then go directly into the Despair half to shred an opponent's hand.

Corrected aCMC = ((2.57 x 60 - 12[SP]- 4[DD]) / 60) = 2.30

The high proportion of disruption and removal, along with cards like Bitterblossom (as opposed to Raise the Alarm or comparable aggressive token producers) positions this deck as one of the more control-focused BW Tokens builds out there. The deck does not sacrifice tempo, however, and can be very aggressive in advancing its board state with progressions like:

Turn 1: Hand disruption
Turn 2: Intangible Virtue
Turn 3: Spectral Procession
Turn 4: Sorin, Solemn Visitor

Setups like this are sometimes referred to as "Riding the Dream" and happen surprisingly frequently in practice.

With the aforementioned progression, you can swing in on Turn 4 with three 3/2 Flying, Vigilance, Lifelink Spirits. This is such a strong tempo play that it virtually guarantees victory in most matchups.
