Aggro-ish goodness from grand daddy Edgar Markov. I think this commander is still pure value. This is one of the decks allowed in my friendly playgroups since ultra competitive and stax decks are generally called "unfun". The deck is full of tutors to grab appropriate responses or combo pieces for quick wincons, but can fall back on good old beat down reliably, and on nutty draws it can create a soft lock on the board that should win you the game.

Go wide by playing early vamps

The most natural state of this deck. While definitely vulnerable to board wipes, we try to mitigate some of that through cards like Yawgmoth's Will, Boros Charm, Teferi's Protection, and Volrath's Stronghold. Boros Charm and Teferi's Protection could also be used offensively in combos. Key to recursion with Edgar is getting to cast the spell repeatedly, to get the token value, and sometimes a very disgusting Malakir Bloodwitch (recurse her and you will feel the table get grainy with salt)

Take control of opponents' staples

With cards like Captivating Vampire and Olivia Voldaren if you see something you like, it's yours. Your opponents will want these guys off the table ASAP, and the funny thing is, they're not even the worst thing your deck can put out, but it can win you the game if not answered.

Edgar combos

Even though we are in semi-casual territory, we still need wincons, and pure beatdown can only get you so far against the kind of crazy decks played in commander now a days.

Play into your janky combos/synergies

One sided board wipes

The following combinations let you get significantly ahead, some of these can be played as early as turn 4 with the right draws:

Synergies

After Edgar's ban in Duel and 1v1 Commander, the pattern that emerged was that of battlecruiser / ramp type Edgar decks. Those may function OK, but I strongly believe that Edgar has not been fully tapped yet. The approach this deck takes is one of going just wide enough and soft locking the board when favorably ahead (as opposed as just straight up face damage like the 1v1 decks worked), you'll do this through the use of staxy cards like Damnation, Armageddon, and Dictate of Erebos in combination with cards like Boros Charm to protect your permanents.

Most lords are in the 3CMC slot so we use some ramp to cheat our desired board-state as early as possible, but our options are limited. I chose the best ones available independent of color as we're already playing every incolor dual land. Since we are playing for closing in the middle game (our strategy is shifted for normal commander games), we maximize use of our tokens by adding equipments into the mix.

The Beaters

As more vampires are printed I will keep updating this list, and it may ultimately morph into something else.

Rocks/Ramp

On top of playing some rocks, we play every off color fetch.

Lords and Power-ups

These cards will make our weenie army into a blood thirsty horde of vampires.

Recursion/Protection

Like any aggro deck, boardwipes can put us in a bad spot. Some of the equipments we run grant us protection, but some creatures will inevitably make their way to the graveyard. So in order to mitigate some of those effects, and to maximize Edgar's effect, we play the following:

Draw

The following cards are meant to give our hands some gas if we dumped everything into the field, to recover in case of boardwipes, etc.
