Yennett cEDH

Archetype: combo/control

Combo: Consultation/Doomsday

All the pieces of Consultation combo work with Doomsday combo. As an Esper Consultation deck you will see a lot of similarities to this and Zur Doomsday, but I strongly believe Yennett is better for Doomsday. It comes down to the fact that a Zur Doomsday list uses Zur to find either Necropotence or hate-pieces like Rest In Peace. Meanwhile, Yennett Doomsday is actually able to crack the pile for free, meaning you require 1 less card in hand and 1-2 less mana. Zur is used to set up Doomsday; Yennett is used to win with Doomsday.

You are a control deck first. I play 11 counterspells (though this increases or decreases sometimes), 3 hatebears, and the War Planeswalkers that give your opponent the middle finger.

You have 6 slots dedicated to winning the game, and this can go down to 5: Demonic Consultation/Tainted Pact, Thassa's Oracle/Jace Weilder of Mystery, Doomsday, Nexus of Fate. The last card, Nexus, is optional. However, it prevents you from being milled out (fringe but free to stop in this build) and it also combos with Doomsday and Yennett to get infinite turns with an evasive beater.

To set up your combo the deck plays all the usual tutors but also some of the more fringe ones like Grim Tutor and Intuition. There's also a lot of card draw. In a pinch, Yennett always gives you card advantage since--like Zur--she triggers on attack, not damage.

Two of the most powerful spells in the deck are Ad Nauseam and Necropotence of course. Best part is that Yennett can cast these for free, often winning the game right after.

Plan A is Consultation. It's more mana efficient, faster, and hard to interact with. Plan B is Doomsday. Generally, wait to cast Doomsday until Yennett is able to attack right after. I've never lost a game where I cast Doomsday and have Yennett ready to attack (usually because there's protection in hand). This deck does not have the raw power of a Zur Shimmer deck, but since it requires less pieces you have more slots for control spells (counters, removal, and other interaction). I very much like Yennett for Doomsday in Esper specifically. If you like Doomsday, I highly recommend.
