Cephalid Tribal. Yeah that's a thing. Despite only 16 being ever printed you can play one of the coolest most under powered tribes. This is largely thanks to Aboshaun's 2 abilities being quite overpowered.

First is his ability to tap down all non-fliers for 3 blue mana. You can play politics with this ability. As someone enters their combat step ask them where they are going to send their stuff; with the implication that you will tap down all of their guys if they are going to send them at you.

Second is his ability to tap a any Cephalid to tap any other permanent. This is crazy strong since just 3 Cephalids could lock down someones strategy entirely.

Third the real reason this combination of abilities is so powerful on a mono blue commander is that it eliminates a large amount of things you would normally have to spend counter magic on. For example avenger of Zendikar and Craterhoof; you literally do not care.

The overall game plan is to stall for as long as possible until you can put one of 2 combos together.

Laquatus + Peregrine Drake + Deadeye = Mill out all other players

Cephalid Illusionist/Cephalid Aristocrat + Lightning Greaves + Lab Maniac = Mill yourself (there is Deep Analysis in the deck to flashback for the win)
