I love Channel , and ever since FTV:Exiled released, I've been looking at that beautiful new art it has, thinking how sad it'd be for it to just sit in my binder. But I have a problem- anymore, I play mostly casual, and Channel is not a traditionally casual-friendly piece of cardboard. So I took it upon myself to find a use for Channel that wasn't utterly broken. After some brainstorming, this deck is what I came up with.

The plan of the deck is to drop either Essence Warden or Soul Warden early on in the game (preferably Turn I), then accelerate until you reach about 4-ish mana. By that point, you should have gained a few life from your Wardens, and hopefully have a Channel and Sprout Swarm in hand. If you can, the goal is to use Channel in combination with the life-gain from the Wardens to generate a large amount of saprolings. Additional support for this strategy comes in the form of Dawnglow Infusion - which can be both a lifeline against early-game aggression, and a large mana-boost for Channel , and Manamorphose- which is useful for color-fixing mana post- Channel or for Dawnglow Infusion , and has the added bonus of being an essentially free cantrip.

If the Channel + Sprout Swarm plan isn't working out, Stirring Wildwood and Moment's Peace can help with the long-game. Additionally, Since there is no token-pump or way to exploit the saprolings once they have been created, these cards are useful for bolstering your cambat capabilities.

As the list is right now, there's also a Rebecca Guay art subtheme.
