One of the first MtG decks I ever made was called "Dead Elves". It focused on getting elf dorks into the graveyard (usually through blocking, great strategy) and using Innistrad-block cards like Boneyard Wurm, Splinterfright, Grim Flowering, Spider Spawning, and Gnaw to the Bone. It wasn't amazing but it did spark my love of graveyard-based strategies in MtG. This Colfenor Abzan deck is an homage to Dead Elves, and uses sacrifice, gy recursion, and some Elf tribal.
