Sideboard

Maybeboard

Yet another creature toolbox deck. But, this time with an unseen combo in the modern tournaments, at least so far. You will probably say that it is clunky, that a pure Melira combo is better and that this has no future. You know what? You may be right, but I don't care anyway :D

Be noted that I have't playtested with this deck yet, therefore any and all your experience with it is really welcomed.

Think of this as if it was a Melira Company deck, but instead it has the Midnight Guard + Presence of Gond combo built in it. Why? Because many months ago, I built a casual and budget friendly deck featuring this combo and I wanted to make it more competitive. I believe that this might be the way and many thanks go to RamblinMan for bringing this idea up.

The idea is that thanks to the Collected Company you can find the Midnight Guard and/or Heliod's Pilgrim who will fetch the Presence of Gond and you then have all the pieces of the puzzle.

Other than that, due to the emerging Eldrazi threat that is now spreading through modern, I added a few brew cards that should help with this match: Apart from the Thought-Knot Seer, one of the Eldrazi's most powerful beater is the Reality Smasher - but, consider this: you cast a Path to Exile on it, it forces you to discard and you instead put the Loxodon Smiter into play or deastroy some other creature thanks to the Big Game Hunter 's madness. Cool, isn't it?

As you may have noticed, the sideboard features the Melira combo. This way you are able to side out the Midnight Guard combo and side in the Melira combo , plus you have some free spots for some other side tech. This way you are able to switch between the combos and maybe confuse your opponent a little bit.

Detailed description will be added later.

If you are aware of an Aura that would be worth playing as a 1-of (so that it can be fetched with the Heliod's Pilgrim), let me know in the comments section.

If you guys have any idea how to improve this deck, definitely let me know. I am open to any constructive criticism and suggestions. If you like this deck, do not forget to give it +1! Thanks in advance!
