I wanted to put a twist on an American control deck so I made a Colorado control deck. The colors of the deck match the flag and I live in Colorado so I had to try it.
This deck's purpose is to control the game as much as possible until I can win the game. The win cons are burn, Elspeth, Sun's Champion, Stormbreath Dragon,
Prognostic Sphinx
, and Keranos, God of Storms. I have Spellheart Chimera in the sideboard so I can sideboard them in as another win con if I need one.
Keranos, God of Storms -- A strong card that can allow me to gain card advantage or burn my opponent.
Dissipate
, Dissolve,
Stymied Hopes
-- Counterspells that are used to stop my opponents threats, pretty self explanatory.
Stymied Hopes
I will only use when my opponents tap out for a spell, the other two can be used whenever.
Banishing Light, Devouring Light, Perilous Vault -- Removal and board wipe that help me control the game. I like having Perilous vault out because it creates pressure that opponents have to deal with which causes them to keep their bombs in their hand.
Void Snare
-- Used as temporary removal and sometimes to bounce my creatures from removal.
Elspeth, Sun's Champion,
Jace, the Living Guildpact
-- Very strong planeswalkers that help control the game. Elspeth, Sun's Champion is a win con on her own and
Jace, the Living Guildpact
helps smooth out my draws.
Font of Fortunes
,
Jace's Ingenuity
-- Draw spells that give me card advantage.
Lightning Strike
, Magma Jet -- Burn spells that can be used as removal or to finish of my opponent. Magma Jet is also nice because of its scry.
[[Prognostic Sphinx -- A strong flying, scrying 3/5 that can be given hexproof. it can sometimes finish of games by attacking, but it also helps me scry into my win cons.
Resolute Archangel
-- Can turn the game around after a rough early game and is a flyer that can finish a game of by attacking.
Stormbreath Dragon -- Very strong flyer that can finish a game off quickly, especially after it becomes a 7/7.
Please tell me what you think about this deck and leave any suggestions and comments. If you like the deck +1.
