Overview:

"The time to hesitate is through," so get creatures on the field that like it "higher" and reward you for keeping that fire going. Pop out some Young Pyrocmancers, Guttersnipes, Satyr Firedancers, and Chandra's Phoenixes while you pepper your opponents with Lightning Bolts, Shocks, Magma Jets and Lightning Strikes. "You know that it would be untrue, You know that I would be a liar, If I was to say to you Girl, we couldn't get much higher." Once you have a couple of chump blockers on the field and some instances and sorceries in your graveyard, it's time to do it all over again with Increasing Vengeance, Pyromancer Ascension, and Past in Flames. These will help trigger your creature's abilities for however many times you cast them. It is however important to remember that copied spells DO NOT activate creature abilities (since you're not actually casting a spell, you're copying it) BUT it can trigger them when you utilize Flashback. You may also use them to trigger each other into a whole lot of complicated combos until your opponents are on a "funeral pyre."

Have fun and "Set the Night on Fire"!

Of the decks in this series, this one is probably the most balanced. It has burn, but also has creatures to help you swing for damage or defend which makes it good for 1v1s or multiplayer games.

Disclaimer:

This deck is meant to burn and burn quickly. I would not recommend adding things that require more than 5 mana since you want cheap instances and sorceries to recast with flashback and most of the flashbacks cost 5 mana. Also, I am not liable for any hate you get for combo-flash-burning your friends and enemies out of existence :). I do not own the lyrics to The Doors song, "Light My Fire"

Sideboard:

Mostly situational cards with a few new additions. Chandra, Torch of Defiance is the Planeswalker of choice in this deck. She lets us get extra mana or go through our deck faster, and her emblem is just nasty is you can get it off. As always the deck functions great without her but I like to include options.

Maybe Board:

Sub whatever you like, but the cards here are low-cost since you want to be able to cast this deck as quickly as possible, we build for speed here, not distance. Get you some smaller stuff to put on the field while you're barbequing, (ideally something that rewards you for burning the shit out of your enemies). Honorable mentions go to Pyroblast because countering spells as a red deck is hilarious. Though even if you do pick it up, it should live in your sideboard until you fight a blue deck. Explosive Singularity has nice burn potential, but can be unreliable if you don't have Young Pyromancer's elemental tokens online, but if you were to get it off and copied by Pyromancer Ascension, you could do 20 damage with one spell. But it's honestly easier to just play the deck as is.

Deck Function Example: Not Necessary Reading

I wanted to give y'all an example of how the deck functions as well instead of just singing along to a Doors song. Say you have 2 Shocks already in your graveyard, the quest counters on Pyromancer Ascension, 1 Guttersnipe on the field, and 6 mana. Suppose you draw Past in Flames as your next card, you tap for 4 to cast Past in Flames (this triggers Guttersnipe, dealing 2 damage to all opponents) then you Flashback both of the Shocks which also trigger Guttersnipe dealing 4 more damage, then since the spells are being officially cast, they are copied by Pyromancer Ascension. Instead of casting 2 Shocks, you "cast" 4. So for 6 mana, you deal 14 damage, 6 of which was by a single Guttersnipe and the rest by Shocks, the weaker version of Lightning Bolt. (Technically, it is worth mentioning that the original Past in Flames was also copied by Pyromancer Ascension, but we didn't have the mana or spells in our graveyard to utilize it.)

Any recommendations are welcome, hope y'all enjoy!
