A work in progress cedh Derevi stax deck. I've had Derevi good stuff built for some time now, and I very much enjoy the deck in a casual setting. Seeing as I have no other bant decks, a lot of the cards would just go unused in upgrading the deck to CEDH territory.

I am currently working on finishing the competitive version of this deck which wins through a Nexus of Fate loop. The loop is achieved by milling my entire library through Hermit Druid or Cephalid Illusionist + Nomads en-Kor and taking infinite turns with the shuffle clause on Nexus of Fate . The deck achieves this loop by slowing down the rest of the table with a typical stax and interaction package and by reaching 7 mana with the many mana dorks and Derevi's untap ability. In order to transition to the casual "good stuff" version of a Derevi build, I just have to simply remove the more efficient mana rocks and tutors, the stax pieces and the infinite combos. I would then replace these "unfun" cards with more generic Bant edh threats listed in the sideboard section in order to play the deck at non-competitive tables. When I get more pieces of this deck I will write a detailed swap list here.

The "budget" version of this deck is finished. Far in the future, I'd like to eventually acquire the obvious $50+ upgrades such as Trinisphere , Mana Crypt , Mox Diamond , Gilded Drake , the remaining Zendi fetches and the original dual lands.
