The following deck is what brought me back to Standard.

I love Merfolk and so I was thrilled to see them in Ixalan. While everyone else is building Dinosaurs, Vampires and Pirates. I will be building Merfolk.

The main game plan is to make a really big creature, usually Deeproot Champion, and make him unblockable using Herald of Secret Streams. We have a backup plan in Nissa, Steward of Elements who allows us to filter our draws and has a win con with her ultimate. We have ways to keep the tempo going with Spell Pierce and Walk the Plank. We have other ways to draw with Chart A Course.

We also have Winding Constrictor to make our creatures bigger and give us access to more mana via Attune with Aether and Aether Hub.
