Constant Mists WGU Turboland

Casual*

grphugFTW

This is my spin on the "Turbo Land" Style. Keeping in mind the object of the game being not to kill the opponent, but to 'out-survive' them. There are no Creatures in the deck, though Terravore tried to make an appearance back in the late 90s.

The focus card of the deck is Constant Mists, while the rest of the deck concentrates on keeping it's buyback managable. The card count looks large but i'll draw out the whole thing more than once in a regular game. The 3rd horn of greed really makes more draw than it wants. The Planar Birth, Zuran Orb is an eye-opener for players who haven't seen three digit life totals, and the 3life/2mana of the Taste of Paradise helps illustrate the true power of the sorcery. Both perform well with the turbo land.

Weakest against Counterspell, there's enough life gain to survive against burn and black burn. It's a joy to play because there's not 10 minutes worth of game action each turn: lay some lands, draw and lay some lands. Done. The Horn of Greed is really a main second focus. Save back a land until you get it, that's mitigated by the Trade Routes.

Re-Ordered by playtest the win conditions are: 1) Reins of Power and swing 2) Natural Affinity + Levitation and swing 3) Draw 'em out after uttering "where's your game? ain't you got no game??!?" through a 30 minute cacophony of goofy laughter. 4) Reins of Power + Biorhythm
