Places 1st on its first FNM!

I've been out of standard for awhile now and just getting back into it.

Trying to keep it as rotation friendly as possible but willing to make some exceptions

Would love some suggestions for different match-ups or just good cards that would be better than others.

1st place at FNM! — Aug. 9, 2014

Out of nowhere this deck pulled off a first place win on its first FNM debut.

Match one - R/W Soldier 2-0 Games were pretty straight forward. Control and +1 Elspeth, Sun's Champion till the win.

Match two - Red aggro... very aggro 2-1 First game wasnt too bad, kept control and won with Obzedat, Ghost Council. Game 2 I couldnt keep up the control and was overwhelmed. Game 3 he got me to 3 and I knew he had a shock in hand. Stayed at 3 and controlled till I could -7 Vraska the Unseen

Match 3 - Bant Midrange 2-1 All three games were very close, with lots of control on both sides. But in both wins it was a combo of control and Elspeth, Sun's Champion + Obzedat, Ghost Council

All in all very fun night with some nailbiter moments. First 1st place with this deck at FNM and my own personal 1st place FNM ever too.
