The overall strategy is to win by triggering Exquisite Blood, Vizkopa Guildmage, and an attacker with Lifelink. This creates an "infinite" combo resulting in your opponent losing life until they are at 0. You, also, gain the life lost this way.

What this deck lacks is a sustainable offensive. Meaning it's only viable win condition is the above combo . This is why Blind Obedience, One Thousand Lashes, and Pacifism are in your arsenal. These cards allow you to mitigate the damage being dealt by your opponent while you set up.

Killing Glare and Murder are your Instant Kill spells. I tend to use them for big creatures or emergency recovery.

Liliana let's you tutor out Swamps and her Emblem techs amazingly with Debt to the Deathless, which you use for recovery and/or as a secondary trigger for Exquisite Blood/Vizkopa Guildmage.

Finally, High Priest of Penance gives you Permanent control.

This deck combines lists by dbrannon, lithionlx, and my own (Mostly the control elements since that is my playstyle.)

I am still considering sideboard options and I am not confident in my Mana Curve.
