Twin is a classic Modern deck archetype that focuses on the use of Splinter Twin to create additional creatures that utilize Enter the battlefield, or ETB effects. In our Standard take on this deck, we are doing the same thing via the card Mirror Mockery. Our ETB focuses on cards that create 1/1 Thopter tokens.



| T W I N |


Mirror Mockery: Our primary wincon in the deck. This card is going to be paired with our Thopter-producing machines and give us the ability to flood the field with additional Thopter tokens. Every single time you swing, the posse is gonna roll up and get your back. Brothers for life, esé.

Pia and Kiran Nalaar: Mommy and Daddy Chandra, son. Get yourself two new homies every time we swing with these lovebirds with the help of Mirror Mockery. And once our field is flooded well enough, we have the option for some nice burn with their activated mana ability.

Whirler Rogue: A staple in all Standard Thopter decks. The ability to tap two artifacts and make a creature unblockable is absolutely huge in this deck. You can use this in tandem with an enchanted Mommy and Daddy to make them guarantee two new Thopters every turn. Damn, it feels good to be a gangsta.

Thopter Engineer: While Lafawnduh is only going to give us a single Thopter, our Thopters are going to come in with Haste and that is amazing. Not necessarily the card we want to be using our Mockery on, but it is an option in a pinch.



| B U R N |


Twin Bolt: Pretty simple stuff here. Get the option of busting a cap in their face, or we can run a drive-by on their boys. Or both, don't got to be a choosy motherfucker all the time, man.

Fiery Impulse: Some solid damage straight to anyone that isn't flying our flag. Going to help clear the way for our massive army of flying hoodlums.

Chandra's Fury: A big play, this is gonna deal a massive blow to the enemy player, as well as help clean up their half of the board. These is our streets, boyyyy.

Wild Slash: Take a big swing at anyone you want. We're gangsters, we don't follow the rules. Also helps clean up against any mark ass buster who thinks he's cute for running TurboFog in standard.

Impact Tremors: This is a very important card in the deck. With Mirror Mockery attached to one of our Thopter engines, this is going to deal an absolute disgusting amount of damage over the course of the game. With such a low mana cost it's really not hard to get into play early on either.

Boiling Earth: Really helps clean up the enemy's board and gives us the advantageous position we need to turn the game around.



| B A C K U P |


Chief of the Foundry: Big boy here is going to turn all our boys into men. Beef up those fliers and bring the hurt down on your Melvin ass enemies.

Faerie Miscreant: An additional option for Mirror Mockery, we can use this guy to get us some more cards, and he serves as a nice flier for our army.

Monastery Swiftspear: A huge early game threat, Taylor Swiftspear brings the hurt down early and gives us some breathing room to get our combos rolling.

Shaman of the Great Hunt: The Thopters become monsters once our Shaman is in the game. This is a huge threat to the opponent. Make friends with it. Use it. Love it. Buy me lunch please I'm hungry.

Infectious Bloodlust: This can help out with our Thopter engines, or if you're really feeling froggy you can slap it onto one of our many Thopters for that extra damage boost.

Titan's Strength: Helps out in a similar fashion to Infectious Bloodlust in that it can beef up our engines when they need it, with the added bonus of getting to scry one.



| S I D E B O A R D |


Dragon Fodder: A great option when we need more early game and board presence. Gonna slap on some extra muscles to make yourself appear larger and scare our hairy enemy back into the woods.

Ghirapur AEther Grid: An added bit of burn when we're having trouble swinging and need a more direct approach.

Negate: Great for dealing with any control decks.

Psychic Rebuttal: Another piece for anti-control, with the bonus of using their weapons against them. Also a great option for countering burn.

Roast: When Siege Rhino is a problem, you know who to call. This can really turn the tide and drop the big ones for you.

Stratus Dancer: Another way to respond to control decks, with the bonus of being an additional body. It's like my mom always says, "Mo' creatures, mo' betta'."



Thank you very much for looking at my Standard decklist. This is a theme I really have a lot of fun playing and I do hope to win at FNM with this. It's my own take with no netdecking involved, so any feedback is very appreciated, but please keep in mind that I do not know every card in the game and it is very possible I missed something. Just because there are better options does not mean I need to be belittled for choosing something else. Let's keep it friendly, and I would be more than happy to collaborate with everyone here. I am open to all suggestions.
