Sideboard


Load the board with Blood Seekers and Trespassers' Curses, then drop a Hunted Phantasm and blink it with Essence Flux or Turn to Mist for it to deal damage (because the Seekers and Curses notice the tokens the opponent now has and deals damage for each one!)

Otherwise, it's a basic control deck, using plenty of blue draw/counterspell stuff and black discard/punisher through all those Blood Seekers/Trespasser's Curses if they're running a creature-heavy/tokens deck themselves!

Illness in the Ranks is in the sideboard to allow you to face a more controlling match yourself, to allow yourself to drop a Hunted Phantasm even without any Blood Seekers/Trespassers' Curses on the battlefield, just to start hitting face - it's also great against tokens match-ups! Also more Engulf the Shores and a Baral's Expertise, to allow a little more removal, along with two Mercy Killings, the only card to splash white for, but can use a big creature on the other side of the board to your advantage if you have your Seekers/Curses out!.

Ideal Turn 4 Win:

Turn 1: Island -> Serum Visions?

Turn 2: Swamp -> Blood Seeker or Trespasser's Curse

Turn 3: Sunken Hollow -> Trespasser's Curse or Blood Seeker, then ...another Serum Visions?!

Turn 4: Sunken Hollow -> Hunted Phantasm (dealing 10 damage through the 2 Blood Seekers/Trespassers' Curses each noticing your opponent has 5 new tokens), then Essence Flux, to blink the Phantasm and do it again!
