This deck is first a foremost a competitive CVT(Chain Veil Tefferi), meaning that the primary combo deals with these two cars - look up the combo if you don't know it already. But it has two main budget cuts ( Timetwister and The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale includes infinite mana as a backup plan the universally known Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth (also draws your deck with Sensei's Divining Top ).

The way to get to your combo is stacks. Because your combo, while consistent due to the The Chain Veil being so easy to fetch and your other peace being your commander, is much slower than most other tier 1-1.5 and sometimes 2 decks. In order to raise the consistency of winning the stacks package is particularly lengthy including some of the best stacks cards available (eg. Stasis and Back to Basics ) as well as several tech choices based on the decks my playgroup uses (eg. Torpor Orb and Grafdigger's Cage {side note: Cage is also just extremely good at shutting down storm decks and mono green as well as its use as graveyard hate}).

Also, this is a High Tide deck which means that there are few utility lands to make space for islands. In this version I include only Islands to help with constancy as I have found that other lands just tend to slow you down, although I would add that lands really are a personal choice and if you want to include utility lands go right ahead. The fetches are primarly for filtering and to prevent "Brainlock" (only seeing the same non-useful cards on top of your library usually due to Jace's Brainstorm ability.
