Sideboard

Maybeboard

this deck started as a hatebear strategy that shifted slightly to death and taxes. the main difference between the two is that hatebears plays more aggressive critters (like loxodon smiters) and d&t plays more interactive flicker shenanigans (like flickerwisp, blade splicer, red akroma and mangara)

i don't play in many large tournaments, but the ones i do will have results posted. the few lgs level events i have played in have usually had 0.750 results or better as well.

the 2 best things about this deck are its dollar value is on the cheaper end of existing modern decks, and the fact that the main deck and sideboard are tweakable to be able to post strong results in pretty much any metagame.

my buddy borrowed the deck and played it at the SCG Premier IQ in Chicago this weekend and took 14th place. i have yet to talk to him about how everything went, but i'm happy he got such a great result the first time piloting the deck!

he adjusted a couple cards, but not as many as i expected him to. mostly he was just trying out some of the new origins stuff that made sense for the deck. the decklist he played can be found here.
