So, my wife comes to me and says she wants a Demon themed deck. Something fun. Whelp. Demons aren't usually fun. They are big, expensive, and never very nice. So I tried. What I came up with is this.

This is as casual as a casual deck can get. When we play, my wife enjoys many liberties not normally allowed in Magic. e.g. - "I scry 8...dangit." Then she shuffles feverishly; hoping for a better "next 8". It is all in good fun, and we get more of a laugh from her antics than the game itself. So...when I inform you that the "strategy" behind this deck is to mulligan until you have: 1 Hellcarver, 1 Reanimate, and 1 Swamp in your first hand...you'll see how it only fits in casual. Ah, but for her purposes it works just fine. You use your first turn announcing playfully, "Well. I can't do anything. Discard Hellcarver, your move.", and pass to the next player. Then turn two is obvious, and so is every turn that follows. It can be shut down very easily by other Legacy decks, and it is inconsistent pretty much always.

That said...the look on her face when it works. When she gets to play 6 fresh "Daehmons" every turn. The way she laughs when the dork gets to pretend she is "the Dark Lord". It's all pretty worth it. Anyways. Hope someone else comes along, sees how bad it is...but takes the time to read my little blurp about why that is so.
