Sideboard

Maybeboard

This deck aims to make your opponent discard their hand as quickly as possible effectively preventing them from playing Magic. The deck wins by doing damage based on the absence of cards in their hand.
For the budget version you see here, 18 Swamps more than suffices. If you feel like taking it to the next level however then Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth works well with Mutavault and it combos with the last mode on Funeral Charm . You could always use some swamp fetches as well to thin out your deck a bit.
Starting the game with a Swamp and Duress or Despise is optimal because we can remove the most dangerous spells from our opponent's hand early on. The earlier we use these cards the better because we are most likely to hit a viable target while they still have 7 cards in hand. Inquisition of Kozilek is good at any time but the earlier we can use it the better. After the first turn or two, our opponent should be down to around 4 cards if they're actually playing. This is when we ideally hit with cards like Blackmail or Mire's Toll as they force our opponent to reveal most if not all of their hand as well as forcing them to discard one of our choice. It is never good to give your opponent a choice about anything in Magic, but in this case its more of an illusion of choice as these cards usually force a hand reveal. Later in the game after we have a win con out and our opponent is topdecking, cards like Funeral Charm and Raven's Crime come in handy since being able to choose the card discarded no longer matters. Funeral Charm is an instant which means we can use it to force our opponent to discard the moment they topdeck something, preventing them from playing anything during that turn.
I used to have more discard effects here but I found this deck falls through when the opponent gets some creatures out. I figure the best way to handle our opponent's creatures is by having cheap creatures with deathtouch to ensure they die, and lifelink to benefit from their attack. These stipulations yielded Vampire of the Dire Moon , Gifted Aetherborn , and Vampire Nighthawk .
Originally this archetype was referred to as 8-Rack since it played 4 of The Rack and Shrieking Affliction . I was testing Quest for the Nihil Stone and had mixed results so I moved it to the Maybeboard. The current version here has

4x: Shrieking Affliction

2x: The Rack

4x: Davriel, Rogue Shadowmage

I cut 2 of the most expensive one. This area of the deck is kind of a flex spot since it traditionally works 8-Rack, but 10 makes it more consistent. The other two spots have just been more discard spots in other decks. Davriel, Rogue Shadowmage not only has a built in rack effect, but it also lets us make the opponent discard each turn its out.

The deck starts with 2 of Duress and Despise . The other two are in the sideboard so that you can aim your discard more precisely in games 2 and 3, depending on what your opponent's deck relies on.

If you're up against artifacts, Shattered Dreams comes in and what comes out depends on the deck you're up against. Having 4 Shattered Dreams may seem like a bit much and if you're meta doesn't feature a lot of artifacts, Raven's Crime is a perfectly acceptable replacement for one or two of them in this budget build.

If for whatever reason, you can't force your opponent to discard something extremely detrimental to you and they manage to resolve it and win the game, then Dash Hopes is our last line of defense. The only good counter spell black has to offer forces our opponent to pay 5 life (which is very serious against this archetype) or allows us to counter a spell for two mana. Worth.

I had one space left over so I filled it with the all around good card Raven's Crime . Not only does it discard a card, but it retraces so we can do it again.

The only reason I put this at the very end is because I didn't know where else to put it. Dream Salvage is still being tested and so far I've got mixed results. In some cases it allows me to draw multiple cards and sustain my discard attack. In other cases it has the opposite effect and I draw into it when I would rather have another discard spell. By all means try it and see how it works for you. If you don't like it then throw in some Raven's Crime or some other discard.
Inquisition of Kozilek and Thoughtseize can replace Duress , Despise , or Wrench Mind . Personally I think Thoughtseize is the better of the two. Now that Inquisition of Kozilek has been reprinted and devalued, I found a slot for it in the deck.

Nyxathid can replace Vampire Nighthawk , or you can just run both if you prefer to go creature heavy and take out Smallpox .

Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth is nice when paired with creatures, Mutavault , and Funeral Charm as a backup win con. Also Ghost Quarter and Inkmoth Nexus don't hurt so long as you still have majority swamps.

Liliana of the Veil is last and farthest from least of the upgrades and easily replaces any spell in the deck if you're willing to make the investment.

The advantage of running a mono color deck is you don't have to break the bank buying fetch or shock lands, but fetches don't hurt.

Feel free to look at the Maybeboard for some inspiration on your own take of mono black discard.
