Basically control the board while buffing Daxos to deal 21 commander damage.

I use counter spells that have other abilities (draw a card, counter unless controller pays X, etc.) to get a card or tie up the opponents resources but am still looking at possible upgrades there.

Ideally, and usually, I end up with the three artifact lands, Isochron Scepter with Counterspell imprinted on it, and Unwinding Clock all out giving me access to at least countering one spell on each opponents turn.

This deck wins a good portion of the time in 4 or more player games (my usual play group). In fact the other day I was down to 1 life in a bad match-up until I got the mill deck in the group out, then came back and won the game with over 100 life and dealing 38 commander damage in one swing.

I'm considering Lightning Greaves for the haste, and High Market to avoid Daxos being tucked.

Cards I've removed... Mulldrifter- Temple Bell is better draw for the deck and if Temple Bell is destroyed it can be brought back with Sun Titan's ability. Gilded Lotus- Nice ramp but too costly for this deck. Mystic Speculation- love the card but I found I'd be playing it for it's buyback cost when I should have been playing other things. Confiscate- Found there was a lot of times I'd just hold it in my hand and not use it to be able to play multiple other cards. Ring of Evos Isle & Ring of Thune- decent cards but replaced them with Trepanation Blade & Sword of Body and Mind, like the results better. Faerie Conclave- was useful at times but wanted to lower the number of lands that entered tap. * Pride of the Clouds- found better use out of Soul's Attendant, especially if I get Archangel of Thune out.
