Some decks are created to be fun, casual decks. This is not one of those decks! Deadly Tides was created with one purpose in mind: Winning.
Deadly tides is designed to cripple the opponent's mana supply with a steady stream of Stone Rain and Parallax Tide, all the while using cards like Index and Preordain to help me pull the mana I need for my spells. When the time is right, Ankh of Mishra is played which prevents opponents from placing anymore lands without taking damage. The coup de grace comes when Parallax Tide leaves play, bringing all opponent's lands back under their control while a couple Ankh of Mishra cards are in play dealing a game winning 20 damage.
