This is the Death and Taxes list I currently run in Modern. It has the typical mana denial core of Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Leonin Arbiter, Aven Mindcensor, Ghost Quarter, and Tectonic Edge, but also a few blink effects built into it.

The whole Idea is to put pressure on while constantly setting your opponent back a turn. The ideal line is to constantly have 2 threats on the board and to constantly use Aether vial to replace one of your threats or to Flickerwisp or Restoration Angel to nullify removal. The whole idea is to constantly put your opponent in card-disadvantage situations while applying pressure.

Took this to the trial and ended up in 12th place out of 37.

Notable matchups:

Splinter Twin (all in) - good matchup. I won all games against this variant.

Tarmo Twin - very even; very grindy matchups that all went to time. Had two matches against this and tied both.

Ad Nauseum Combo - pretty favorable. Went against two of these decks and won both matches. The big advantage here was Flickerwisp, which I used to bouncy their artifacts and lands to remove the counters, which effectively mana screwed them. Burrenton forge tender protected me if they went off.
