Reanimation is one of the strongest strategies in magic, if used properly. This is my EDH version of reanimator deck with Karador, Ghost Chieftain as a general.

Creatures with ETB (enter the battlefield) or LTB (leave the battlefied) triggers are powerful in almost every EDH deck, especially for reanimators which can abuse those abilities. Acidic Slime , Angel of Despair, Ashen Rider, Duplicant, Sun Titan or Grave Titan are all powerful threats which benefit from reanimating them several times.

I also decided to use few creatures with cycling for two reasons: to improve my draw power and to fill my graveyard with bodies and reanimating them later. Krosan Tusker serves both as a draw engine, land ramp and in later game, big body to reanimate. Scion of Darkness seems to be perfect target to reanimate and is easy to get into graveyard soon enough.

Tutors are another important part of almost every black EDH. While playing reanimators, tutors which put cards into graveyard are favoured options. Entomb, Buried Alive, Jarad's Orders and Corpse Connoisseur are all great means to get my threats into the graveyard. Fauna Shaman and Survival of the Fittest are also excelent tutoring engines in this kind of deck.

BWG decks have pretty vast options when it comes to removals in general. This deck can kill or remove almost every threat. Mass removals like Wrath of God or Akroma's Vengeance are included as well, since reanimators have advantage to recover from such effects easily.

This deck lacks serious draw power, and that's the thing I would like to improve. Harmonize is staple in most of my green EDHs. I decided to test Altar's Reap both as a draw spell and as a way to save my creatures from exiling and tucking effect, which hurts my deck badly. I also consider playing Grim Flowering since it can fuel my hand rapidly, but it's cost is pretty steep.

The very core of this is reanimating - which means putting creatures from my graveyard to battlefield. I don't rely just on my general, I added many ways to reanimate. Unearth seems weak at first, but it's reasonable reanimation for my utility creatures, Rescue from the Underworld can save my creature from tucking and exiling, abuse ETB effects of my creatures and it reanimates threats. Reincarnation unlocks large space for combos, and in worst case, it just save my creature and abuse it's ETB effects.

Feel free to comment this deck, and +score if you like :)

I play the deck for some time now and I'm happy with the result it has so far. Karador proved to be resilient commander. While my opponents play considerable amount of removal and counter magic, the very core of this deck is not so threatened by those strategies, since it's only matter of time when I start to reanimate my fatties.

I wanted to improve my draw power. It's not that easy task when you are not allowed to use Blue in your deck, but I think I found decent options too. Greater Good seems to be perfect addition, I really look forward to see it in play. I also added Disciple of Bolas, which has similar use as a Greater Good, but since it's a creature, it opens a space for nasty combos (hello, Reveillark). These two cards also helps to trigger my leave the battlefield triggers: Archon of Justice, Pelakka Wurm, Ashen Rider and even Woodfall Primus (thanks to his persist, he returns after being sacrificed). If my draw engine will still be insufficient, I consider adding stuff like Phyrexian Arena and Underworld Connections. I'm also still pondering if it's good idea to add Grim Flowering to the fold or not. It can easily provide me with devastating card advantage, but the card is too unpredictable for my taste.
