I guess it's focusing more on combo pieces in its current form. It's NOT strong 1v1. You will take several turns to get going and will get destroyed by decks that focus on going infinite ASAP (since we have no counter spells we can't stave off any early threats). Don't go it alone for the road will be winding and the grade steep.

The larger the group, the fewer compromises you will need to make. Smaller groups mean you need to tutor for answers whereas in larger groups, you can focus more on doing you. Alternatively, Karmic Guide + Reveillark + Saffi Eriksdotter synergize nicely. When triggered with Phyrexian Altar or Altar of Dementia can give you quick cycles/discards or infinite mana.

Since I don't want to be too long-winded on how the deck works (it's junk; it's junk for a reason: play big junk, do junk with the junk - almost every card is a win condition or control), let me close on why I chose Teneb. Beyond the obvious: a 6/6 with flying, giving access to ramp, recursion, and fantastic control due to his color pie and the ability to pull from any graveyard for 3 CMC - he isn't Karador. In my experience, this is Teneb's biggest strength.
