After some heavy playtesting, this is the new shell I came up with.

Esper Mentor is a fine deck per se, but it misses that one card that really pushes it to make it more viable. I'm thinking about a card here that is relatively cheap costed, which protects our mentor while cantripping so it replaces itself or has some sort of unearthing effect. A card like this with flashback would be optimal since it would trigger an on-board mentor twice in just one card.

Apostle's Blessing is ok, but can be a little clunky in hand if there is no mentor on board. It also doesn't replace itself. Unearth is a really great card by itself,since it can cycle but I'm not really sold on it since the most prominent removal spell is swords to plowshares and spending 2 mana to draw a card is not really where this deck wants to be I guess?

It's still tons of fun for me to play with though!
