Maybeboard

A combo control deck designed for multiplayer, either win with a Doomsday combo or combo off with Tidespout Tyrant.

Dralnu, Lich Lord adds resilience against counterspells and lots of card advantage, but it's imperative that make sure you can protect before you cast him because of his sacrifice triggered ability. Blasphemous Act is not fun, nor is any other red sweeper, hence Magebane Armor. High Market is a failsafe. A healthy amount of counterspells in hand is a good idea, if not available targeted damage can be stopped by Swiftfoot Boots or Lightning Greaves. Those also let you use Dralnu right away. Thousand-Year Elixir lets you abuse his ability a bit more as well as Catalyst Stone (very very broken). Protecting your graveyard is rather important because it acts like a second hand. Use counterspells or if all else fails Elixir of Immortality.

Since things like Thousand-Year Elixir are already important to our commander, creatures like Arcanis the Omnipotent, Jace's Archivist and Visara the Dreadful are that much better.

While this isn't an "artifact deck" per se there are a ton of artifacts that are important support cards. They help abuse and protect Dralnu as well as enabling faster combos. Tezzeret the Seeker and Fabricate should never be dead cards.

As a combo deck with few creatures and a slower game plan being attacked is the biggest weakness. Counterspells and Dralnu, as well as Telepathy make this deck fairly resilient against other control decks. Crux of Fate, miscellaneous removal, Maze of Ith, Propaganda, and Cyclonic Rift are there to slow down your opponents enough to put together a combo.

Tidespout Tyrant creates an infinite loop with Sol Ring or Mana Vault plus a 1 drop artifact or any zero drop. To create infinite mana this way the permanent you use to bounce your mana rock has to have a cmc that's at least 2 less than the amount of mana produced by the rock, or else it's a "useless machine." However this can produce an infinite storm count. Clone Tidespout Tyrant and you can put the "useless machine" to good use wiping the board with the second trigger.

Doomsday is tricky to pull off. You need either a couple counterspells (or one and Dralnu, Lich Lord out) or Telepathy on the field to make sure you don't accidentally make yourself lose. This is advisable with either combo but Doomsday leaves you especially vulnerable. You also should try to win the turn you play it (meaning you need a draw spell available to cast or a Sensei's Divining Top). This minimizes your opponents' chance to disrupt the combo. Alternatively if you have a flash emabler like Vedalken Orrey you can cast Doomsday right before your untap step.

Updates Add

Went to the dark side and removed Doomsday pieces for Deadeye Navigator, Peregrine Drake, and Oona, Queen of the Fae. Also removed Malicious Affliction for Hero's Downfall because of black creatures and planeswalkers.
