This deck combines a couple of ideas that incidentally happened to go quite well together.

My goal was to build an original deck that's able to compete against a couple of Decks to Beat, and I think I finally succeeded for once.

It's actually designed for Modern, but I'll have to wait/hope for a reprint of Homeward Path before that becomes the case.I guess it could also work without it, but the Treacherous Pit-Dweller would get a tad more risky, and Spawn Broker would also suffer a bit.

I tested it a couple of times against Jund so far, and it can keep up considerably well against it.

Dark Confidant is probably the biggest threat. It can handle it with Abrupt Decay, or Spawnbroker and an 'undied' Young Wolf , or Mark of the Oni and a Demon (with Demonic Taskmaster , you can depose of him if your opponent doesn't quickly respond with removal on your only demon or the aura).

The majority of creatures is Lightning Bolt-resistant or a fair trade (one-drops).

Still, it's a gimmick deck so it won't probably hold up too well against most DTB's unfortunately.
