Demonic Assault

Standard Mono-Black

Clavat99

Maybeboard

Creature (1)

This deck was fun to build and is even more so to play. The deck thus far has won most frequently on turn 5, but will definitely take longer if you are facing another well-built deck. The main strategy with Demonic Assault is to drop out Demonic Taskmasters as soon as you can. (The main effect makes the taskmaster even with the 3 mana cost for a 4/3 flying, but when you read it it says "At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice a creature other than Demonic Taskmaster". This wording means that you can have 4 taskmasters on the field but so long as you don't have any other creatures, you don't have to sacrifice anything.) once you have taskmasters out start dropping Soulcage Fiends and sacrifice them with the taskmasters for instant hurt, use the Death Winds to keep your opponent open, and use Essence Harvests when you are in need of life, or just want to hurt your opponent some more. The Unhallowed pacts are an AMAZING utility, in that they can keep your stuff from dying for a turn, OR you can drop them on an opponents creature and when it dies, it comes into play under your control instead. If a game ends up lasting a while and you need stuff from your graveyard or you just need some extra 'umph', cast Gravepurge to return creatures to usefulness, or return nothing and just draw a card. Liliana, Harvester, Demonlord and the Pit-Dweller are all there just as an extra little scare for your opponent and a little bit of insurance. The scrolls are another way you can keep stuff going your way.

Basically: Drop Demonic Taskmasters and Soulcage Fiends for your main source of damage, keep your opponent clear with Death Winds, and keep yourself healthy with Essence Harvest.

Everything else is just a big fat bonus!
