This is one of five decks chosen to represent my take on a mono-color strategy.

How to Play

Mono-Black has always been pretty boring to me. It kind of dabbles in all the other colors but at the cost of life in addition to your hard-earned mana. I decided to go with Maralen of the Mornsong because I think that it is a deck that is really fun to play with strangers. People tend to tutor for very different things so its interesting to see how people respond to a card shortage.

I really wanted to try something different and I think this deck with satisfy that thirst for the time being.

How to Win

I imagine mass discard into maralen the mornsong to force a tutor-top deck situation. JAM MARIT LAGE LOL.

P.S. Can't wait to pull off Turn 1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth + Dark Ritual + Maralen of the Mornsong, Turn 2 tutor for Dark Depths/Vampire Hexmage (depending on which I am missing To get Marit lage out on turn 2! It's a dream for now, but I will post when I pull it off.
