derevi combo deck.

Birthing Pod with Derevi, Empyrial Tactician to untap it is a pretty ridiculous combo piece.

this deck started out as a pretty basic evasive maneuvers deck that i thought would be fun to utilize tapping/untapping. after playing with it for a little while i decided to make it my main deck. slowly over time (and by sinking some more money into key cards) it morphed into this.

as long as it is not disrupted all it takes is pod and some mana. one route is to pod derevi into Venser, Shaper Savant to bounce pod back to hand and recast for 3 mana then pod venser into Peregrine Drake. with refreshed lands flash derevi back in to untap pod and pod derevi into Phyrexian Metamorph as Peregrine Drake. flash derevi back in to untap pod again and pod one of the drakes into Deadeye Navigator and you have infinite mana and no friends.

this deck is really fun to play however my playgroup isn't always in the mood for the infinite combo so i've recently added some bigger bodies that i can get great value out of etb effects and still push damage. this usually means getting Sphinx of Uthuun and copying it as much as possible to fly in for big damage while maintaining fully stocked hands.

this has become my most competitive group game deck and i'm occasionally looking to take it in different directions and try new cards in place of others that i have become bored with (or my playgroup has become annoyed with) so any suggestions are appreciated.
