This is a deck I built for my 9 year-old step-son, which he has just named "Derpy Dragons". The goal of the deck isn't to be a competitive powerhouse, but to be a fun deck for a beginning player to learn the ropes with. It's basic and easy to play, while using the cards new players love - dragons. Using walls to ramp gives it some breathing room against an early beatdown, and it fairly consistently drops a dragon on turn 3.

Utvara Hellkite is there mostly for multiplayer and because he just loves the card. If it gets going it's a beast, though it's Doom Blade target #1. Hellkite Charger is nice mid-late game, in testing it could take control decks by surprise by dropping and attacking 2-3 times the same turn it dropped.

Overall the deck is fun and works well for kitchen table play, it's by no means competitive but works consistently and is easy to underestimate. Plus a kid in elementary school with a working dragon deck is a god among young nerdlings.

Updates Add

Just another small tweak. Replaced Harmonize with Lead the Stampede. LtS digs deeper and helps pull up those much needed threats and mana dorks for a cheap casting cost. Also replaced Dragon Roost with Domri Rade. After some testing, Domri just pulls out ahead by helping draw dragons, giving some control options, and rarely getting an "I win" emblem.
