New to magic and enjoy playing black. upon discovery of the gray merchants and devotion, this is the deck I've built around them

The basic goals surrounding this deck in order are: 1) gaining devotion and playing Gray Merchants.

2) Draw power for cheap mana and life to spend excess life gained through grays, lifelink and corrupt.

3) keep your opponent from using all their cards with Shrieking Affliction.

4) keeping card cost to a minimum, nothing more than 4 or 5 except for corrupt.

Secondary goals that need to be chosen by swapping cards with side deck:

1) Use draw power to swarm the field with pack rats to gain a stronghold while also adding to devotion

2) Use discard creature effects and spells to keep your opponents hand empty, restricting their play while also hurting them with Shrieking Affliction.

I've chosen to test out the deck with a small touch of secondary goal 2 and see how it fairs, later on I'll swap some cards to lean more towards Secondary goal 1. Farther down the line try to see how well they mix by keeping disciples instead of Lifebane Zombie
