Did Yosei Me Tap All Your Stuff v2.0

Commander / EDH Control Mono-White Reanimator Spirits

GruulPandas

My main EDH deck that I made initially for price information. I made the deck two years ago though, so I gave it a much needed update here to incorporate all the new cards I'd added over the years and changing some things to make the deck somewhat more viable in the long run.

The main theme behind this deck is reanimation and tapping everything that's not yours. Yosei's big draw is tapping everything, so using him in combination with the rest of the deck to lock down the board and hit hard is key. You'll probably want Yosei hitting the graveyard as soon and as often as possible to utilize his ability best. I tried to utilize as much graveyard shenanigans as possible, and mono-W has a lot of that in creatures and sorceries/instants that help throughout game to keep bringing back Yosei and keep locking down the board in various ways. It is a little slow to start, but typically works out how you want it to.

This is one of the main appeals of this deck- you want to tap or remove whatever you can to keep opponents from doing things. Exile is your friend here as cards like Erase and Radiant Purge will work as spot removal, and creatures like Sunblast Angel is also good for acting as a boardwipe in a pinch after using something like Topplegeist to tap your opponent's things. Sunblast Angel also works as a makeshift sac outlet for Yosei and any other creatures that benefit from hitting the graveyard.

There are also alternate ways to keep the board locked down to start with, such as Loxodon Gatekeeper. Your heaviest hitter here is Thalia, Heretic Cathar to keep your opponents from doing things immediately once they're played. Thalia is especially useful to keep down any nonbasic lands the people at your table play, and she's cheap so you can get her out pretty fast. Cards like AEther Shockwave also work in a tight spot.

The biggest theme in this deck is reanimation, especially since Yosei's ability only triggers if he actually hits the graveyard as opposed to going to the command zone. This works to your advantage in a way as it helps avoid commander tax and makes it easier to continue killing him. Boardwipes are your friend here as far as mass killing all your creatures, and cards like Tragic Arrogance and Hour of Revelation work really well to clear out whatever you haven't locked down already. Letting your opponents kill Yosei is also helpful, but once he's dead you'll be able to use cards such as Haven of the Spirit Dragon to bring him back once his ability froze one of your opponents for a turn.
-Yosei, the Morning Star + Gift of Immortality is a huge one. Lock down your opponents as Yosei continuously comes back to swing for damage in the air.

-Ordeal of Heliod + Sunbond helps to throw a little extra power behind some of your creatures if you haven't gotten to some of the powerhouses like Sunscorch Regent on the battlefield yet.

-Loxodon Gatekeeper/Thalia, Heretic Cathar + Sunblast Angel helps as a makeshift boardwipe in a lot of cases.

There's also a lot of search options to find enchantments in case you need to get to Gift of Immortality sooner rather than later testtest

This deck was designed to win through direct damage, constantly having the boardstate locked down as you hit your opponents with everything you've got on the field. Stuff like Brave the Sands helps with having blockers in the meantime if you're worried about openings for attackers.

Despite the huge revision, this was still my first EDH deck and I'm still open to suggestions on it. Please leave a comment letting me know what could be done better or ways I could work on improving it!
