Went to my first FNM:
First round: I played a deck almost similar to mine, went 1 and 2 with screw up by not using a shrapnel blast in the second match that would of won it for me.
Second round: I played a hornet queen deck and won 2 - 0
Third round: I played a renown equipment deck and won 2 - 0
Fourth round: I played a green/black ramp deck I think games went fast I won 2 - 0
I advice to the round of 8 single elimination. I was a middle seed so played another middle seed. Guy I lost to in first round was top seed at 4-0.
I played a prowess deck and won first match but lost next two due to mana shortage one round and next match having no red mana.
All in all I am very happy with how I did. I am going to update my deck with the following:
I moved 2 Impact Tremors to maybe board
I moved 2 Artificer's Epiphany to sideboard
I moved 3 Springleaf Drum to maybe board
I moved 3 Alchemist's Vial to side board
I added 2 Fiery Conclusion to side board
I moved 2 Obelisk of Urd to maybe board
I moved 2 pia and kiran nalaar to sideboard
I added 3 [[mountain to main board
So I reduced my deck down to 60 while uping my mountains to 5. Reason I did this was because I ran into a few games of either being land short on red or my red mana was slow mana which slowed my deck down. I am contemplating taking out 1 Chief of the Foundry for 1 Thopter Spy Network.
As always advice welcome as I am learning to play better at FNM. I also appreciate imput on sideboard and how to utilize it better.
