Hey guys, this is an original deck idea I had. This deck has multiple win cons, from mill to creature stealing.
Breakdown:
Crypt Ghast: Crypt Ghast is a great ramp engine that can allow for turn 5 Lord of the Void and absolutely HUGE Mind Grinds.
Fate Unraveler: Fate Unraveler is a great creature for board stalls, shutting down Sphinx's Revelation, and making Underworld Connections a NIGHTMARE for mono black decks.
Gild: One of the best creature removal spells in standard (mainly because of the exile) can handle gods and THAT is big.
Hero's Downfall: Kills creatures and planeswalkers, overall amazing card.
Hythonia the Cruel
: Our wrath effect, only one because of all the removal and we want to keep our crypt ghasts.
Jace, Memory Adept: He is one of our alternate win conditions, he is good up against many other decks, mainly control, but still great card.
Liliana of the Dark Realms: She is another ramp engine, her ultimate DOES happen sometimes, but we mainly use her -3 and +1.
Lord of the Void: Big fat 7/7 demon that takes everything from Elvish Mystic to AEtherling.
Mind Grind: Devastating mill engine, with all the ramp it is an alternate win condition.
Mutavault: Just because i had one...
Psychic Strike: Basic Counter-mill spell
Sepulchral Primordial: Its a nice body that can take things that we've milled or killed.
Duress: Takes out annoying planeswalkers and spells
Ultimate Price: Basic removal spell, nothing special
Whip of Erebos can be used to get back Lord of the Void or
Sepulchral Primordial and lets us gain back some life.
Sideboard:
Cremate
: Graveyard hate with cantrip, not much else to say.
Doom Blade: For non-mono-black decks.
Gainsay
: For the control and mono-blue devotion matchups.
Rise of the Dark Realms: For creature heavy decks, mainly Aggro.
Staff of the Death Magus
: For aggro so we can gain back some life.
Duress: For spell heavy decks.
