I hate having friends, so I decided to create a Leovold, Emissary of Trest Commander deck. My friend list is now at an all time low and I could not be Happier. So if you have too many friends and want to trim the fat, as they say, then this may be the deck for you.

Leovold is a dirty bastard with an extra ability that reads, "when Leovold enters the battlefield, instantly piss everyone at the table off." He's the worst thing that has ever happened in the history of ever. Hitler has nothing on Leovold.

With that said here are a few fun shenanigans that come along with this deck.

Turn 2 Leovold, Emissary of Trest is the dream. The nut hand would be:

The main win con of this deck is to produce an infinite amount of mana and draw your entire deck with Laboratory Maniac winning you the game. To ensure this process goes as smoothly as possible we slow the game down to a halt until we get exactly what we need.

The slow down cards are:

-Anvil of Bogardan. Once Leavold is on the field and you have wheeled your opponents hand down to 1 or 0 anvil keeps it that way. They get to draw only a single card, then have to get rind of one. I've seen many players scoop after seeing this come into play.

-Teferi's Puzzle Box. They synergy with this card is just too great. So the puzzle box triggers AFTER the draw for the turn. So now they have 0 cards in hand at the beginning of every one of their turns. #feelsgoodman.

Now to the main win con. What you need to pull this off is and 1 available during one of your main phases. On the board you will need Basalt Monolith+Rings of Brighthearth. The final card in the combo can be either Staff of Domination Or Sensei's Divining Top.

-You will tap Basalt Monolith for then use that mana to Untap Basalt Monolith. You will then use mana to copy the untap ability using Rings of Brighthearth. Then you Tap Basalt Monolith again netting use the untap ability on the stack to untap it again, copy the untap ability again using and rinse and repeat. You now have a vastly large amount of colorless mana at your disposal.

-What do you do with all that mana you ask. Well if you have Staff of Domination you can spend the mana to gain a ridiculous amount of life, as well as draw your entire deck, as well as, untap all your creatures, and tap all of your opponents creature. If you have one available to you, you put Laboratory Maniac on the field and win the game.

-The other way to win with the infinite mana combo is to have Sensei's Divining Top on the field. This one is a little trickier to grasp for most players. What you do here is tap Sensei's Divining Top to draw a card. You use of the 1093098290890823 Mana you put into your mana pool using the combo discussed earlier to copy the draw ability using Rings of Brighthearth. So this is whats going to happen. You are going to draw the card on top of your library, then Sensei's Divining Top is going to go on top of your library. Now your copied ability is going to have you draw Sensei's Divining Top. You put it back in play and repeat this process until you have your entire deck in your hand. Then play Laboratory Maniac if it's not on the field and win the game.

-I have made a few more changes to the deck. We added Transmute Artifact as another tutor for a win combo piece. For this to be efficient we added a few more artifact cards, most of which will help ensure a turn one or two Leovold. Those cards are Chrome Mox and Mox Opal. We also added Power Artifact . I was unaware of this card for the longest time and a friend of mine suggested top me. Needless to say it was an instant add. You can enchant Grim Monolith or Basalt Monolith for infinite colorless mana on the spot.

-We also added another win con to the deck. To pull this off all you need is Laboratory Maniac on the field and Tainted Pact in your hand. Once you have a draw trigger on the stack cast Tainted Pact and exile your entire library since nothing in the deck has the same name (We use one basic of each and one snow-covered of each basic land) then go to draw with nothing in our library and win due to Lab Maniac. It's awesome because it can be done at instant speed once Laboratory Maniac is on the field.
