Maybeboard

Here's a deck. It can attack with big creatures, but that's not the focus. It can attack with lots of creatures, but that's not the focus either. In fact, most turns, this deck won't attack at all. Instead, it puts up barriers, gathers resources, starts fires, and then turns itself into a dragon.

There are a lot of synergistic interactions in the deck. Effects like Abundant Growth, Trace of Abundance, and Prismatic Omen make Blood Moon easier to handle while locking down your opponents. Lightmine Field, Powerstone Minefield, and Sphere of Safety keep the combat away from you. Privileged Position and the leylines keep targeted effects away from you. Once this deck gets set, there's not much opponents can do to you.

Of course, you want to win the game, too. Manabarbs and Citadel of Pain combine to make players take damage as long as they control lands, and Personal Sanctuary and Solitary Confinement keep you safe from your own cards. There are lots of enchantress effects to offset Solitary Confinement's downside, and lots of cheap, recastable enchantments like Whip Silk and Gossamer Chains to keep the enchantress advantage flowing. There's no problem casting Whip Silk or Ghitu Firebreathing on an opponent's creature if it gets you a few cards when you need them. Sigil of the Empty Throne and Hallowed Haunting push some evasive combat damage through. Finally, Fiery Emancipation turns chip damage from Sulfuric Vortex or Cindervines into explosions.

The commander isn't really important here, until a enchantment commander shows up. Gahiji, Honored One is mostly an inoffensive placeholder that won't draw early heat. As always, thoughts, suggestions, and random musings are welcome.
