Hopefully, early on in the game you can use Entomb + Exhume for one of the four big creatures -- Platinum Angel, It That Betrays, Hand of Emrakil, or Pathrazer of Ulamog. Each one gives you a choice, depending on what mood you are in and how you want to play the rest of the game -- or even how you want to win...

In the meantime, we have several different synegies to choose from:

Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank

Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond

Megrim is useful in both of the above synergies.

Painful Quandary is particularily useful, as it essentially will only allow your opponent four more spells, unless they want to feed Megrim and/or Bloodchief Ascension!! Crypt Ghast can help speed up mana reserves, which would prove helpful if you come to the point where you need to cast one of the big boys straight up.
