This is a new incarnation of a old deck I have here: Bad Dog! . This is an attempt to smooth it down and improve it's consistancy. First, by cutting a color and secondly by improving the card quality overall. Hopefully.

Besides being a Tribal "Hound" deck, Dog Town is based around some small abuse of the ability of the Mortis Dogs. It's ability is when it is placed in the graveyard you get to lifedrain an opponent for it's power. So, the rest of the deck fuels this or adds redundancy to it. Combinations or synergies in the deck are as follows:

Assault Strobe + Mortis Dogs + Vampire's Bite : When it attacks, your Mortis Dogs will be a double striking and lifelinked 7/2 creature. After you resolve combat you either Fling + Mortis Dogs or Artillerize + Mortis Dogs to finish the game.
Assault Strobe + Immolating Souleater + Vampire's Bite : You can use the souleater and it's phyrexian mana cost to pump it's power to win as well. You will not get the free life drain when it is put in the graveyard but you can hit a higher power number. And Fling + Immolating Souleater or Artillerize + Immolating Souleater to finish the game as well.
Assault Strobe + Fiery Hellhound + Vampire's Bite : This does the same as the other combinations except you pump it via firebreathing for the win. Fiery Hellhound + Fling or Artillerize + Fiery Hellhound to finish the game.
Assault Strobe + Hollow Dogs + Vampire's Bite : This is not as effective as any of the other ones but will still get the job done. A double-striking 5 power creature is not bad followed by Fling + Hollow Dogs or Artillerize + Hollow Dogs .
Geth's Verdict + Mortis Dogs + Vampire's Bite : If you attack and your Mortis Dogs survive combat, and you do not have a copy of Fling handy you can use Geth's Verdict to get rid of the dogs and trigger their ability anyways.

So are you sensing a pattern? Boost a hound, attack with it, then throw it at your opponent's face. Keep doing this until you win.

The other hounds in the deck help round out your offence with Hound of Griselbrand or let you keep a Pyroclasm on legs with the Wildfire Cerberus. Then Read the Bones is in the deck to help you if the deck stalls on it's way to victory.
