My attempt at a midrange and aggro 4th turn drop of Vampire Nocturnus.

I say 'Midrange' because the Guul Draz Vampire s work real well with Noc's ability after the opponent's life points are 10 or less. The Guuls would be 5/3's with Intimidate!

The pain-fetch lands, like Verdant Catacombs, are for Nocturnus's ability (i.e. shuffling the deck so that there might be a chance of a black card on top of the library).


New Worldwake card Dead Reckoning, also fits well with Nocturnus's ability. If you have a land on top of the library at the time, this card can be a game-winner in itself. May replace Grim Discovery for this.


My only concern is how much damage I am doing to myself:If I somehow manage to play Sign in Blood and all Verdant Catacombs and Marsh Flats, I would be 10 damage down (and that's without the two Grim Discoveries!)!

Would Vampire Nighthawk,Consume Spirit, and Tendrils of Corruption be enough?
