In getting Mono-black, I could have played up a combo-oriented Maralen, but I wanted to try something new and fun. For this, I settled on the old printing of Drana, Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief. The themes of the deck are control through her ability and commander damage through voltron, as one may expect.

The other players are known to be playing Golgari grave hate and Azorius control, so I needed to make a few adjustments to strategy based on this. Hopefully I'll have enough ramp and equipment to maintain use of Drana's ability.
