WARNING: THIS DECK IS EXPERIMENTAL AND WILL CHANGE IN SEEMINGLY RANDOM PATTERNS

Throne of Eldraine standard, sad to see the checklands go but am happy to see Murderous Rider and Drown in the Loch, removal spells that are never quite dead no matter the match up as they either hit planeswalkers as well or counters other spells. I'm playing Thought Collapse or Didn't Say Please to help fill their graveyard to enable Drown in the Loch, and have lessen the planeswalkers in both numbers and their overall role on account of Murderous Rider. I'm honestly not sure how the (formerly) big impact walkers in Teferi and Narset will do in upcoming standard, I'll have to wait and see. A card that got a lot better for me is Unmoored Ego, as most decks will have a good 4 of to strip away. 1st pick in my meta is Murderous Rider right now, second is Bonecrusher Giant.

As much as I enjoyed it, I'm also happy to see Teferi, Hero of Dominaria rotate. He frankly did way too much for control and made so many more rage quits happen. Going back to semi-creature win methods will make the game a little more fun, as it is less "make them unable to win" as it is "actually win the games". While the planeswalker finishers leave some to desired, they are effective at taking over the game. My only regret is not having a 2nd Liliana, Dreadhorde General to put into the list as her ultimate is nearly as game ending as Teferi's was.

*PROBLEMS: Any issues I've had with the deck, and would like advice to fix

In the Aggro matchup: Life loss from shocklands hurt again hyper agressive decks. Due to my desire to fill the opponent's grave, I'm playing Didn't Say Please instead of Absorb so I've lost out on that lifegain. Oath of Kaya doesn't always do enough, so I am sticking with two copies. I am running three Murderous Rider for the lifelink, which is pretty good to both survive as well as great late game to let me draw from Castle Locthwain.

In the Combo matchup: Very little to report here, as I have not seen a real combo deck with this iteration of the deck. (If you know of any making huge headway in standard please warn me).

In the Control Mirror: Simple here, I have too many cards in the side and not enough to cut from the main. My main cuts now are Kaya's Wrath and one or two random cards, as so much of the deck is dual-mode on account of the high percentage of control in my LGS. I need to start cutting down on those sideboard slots, possibly going to a few counterspells/hand disruption and nothing more. Narset, Parter of Veils is not as good in my lists as she used to be, on account of Murderous Rider filling 4 instant spaces but isn't actually an instant. If anyone has tested these cards and found that they don't work too well in the control mirror, let me know please.

Maybes: Just to return more to the older control idea I could work a Jace, Wielder of Mysteries or two into this deck for the straight "draw a card" planeswalker like Jace, Unraveler of Mysteries of the Innistrad/Kaladesh era. His plus also helps enable the Drown in the Loch copies I have in the list as I just love the idea the card represents. I have toyed with the idea of putting in Anticipate as well, just for better card selection but wouldn't know what to cut. Witch's Vengeance is an interesting card, and I have it as a maybe for the inevitable knights aggro lists come out.

Inspiration: The main influence right now is the Pro Tour Kaladesh Finals with Carlos Romao with his Jeskai Control VS. Shota Yasooka and his Grixis Control.

Special Mention: Simic Flash. Super annoying deck, and beyond resolving a Teferi, Time Raveler I don't know how to play the matchup. If anyone has had great success against the deck, again please let me know.

Suggestions

Updates Add

Lost several main players in Teferi, Hero of Dominaria and Azcanta, the Sunken Ruin  Flip. My insistence on playing Esper control still lingers, and so I have updated my deck for the now 2nd rotation since I begin playing competitively. Currently at a Standard light LGS, so will like advice for when I return to my Standard heavy LGS in a few months. Got a few new tools which I love in Drown in the Loch and Murderous Rider, as well as some decent replacements for the checklands in the Castle Series and Fabled Passage. Win Conditions are creature beat downs via planeswalkers and actual creatures, with Castle Ardenvale to finish it out.
