Baeloth is an incredibly interesting card. There are many builds that work, my other favorite being Raised by Giants. This build goes for a far more interactive playstyle, offering opponents the illusion of choice: keep up with Baeloth or force your biggest threats to be goaded. This kind of play buys us time as we slowly build up and grant ourselves the kinds of protections that we need to win. Giving other players toys to play with and flexibility with their board state in the form of +1/+1 counters and creatures allows us to play the kinds of politics that Raised by Giants wouldn't normally afford us at no cost to ourselves.
