A classy & casual subset of rules to be played within the Commander/EDH format. Players are tasked not only in defeating each other, but also the entity known as the "Horde".

The Horde follows a simple subset of special rules:

1) The Horde starts the game with 0 cards in hand.

a) The Horde conducts its normal draw during the draw step. For every 8 turns the Horde has conducted, it draws another card in addition to its normal draw per turn (up to a max of 3 cards from this effect).

2) The Horde has infinite during its upkeep, precombat main phase, combat phase, postcombat main phase, and end step.

3) The Horde must play all cards in its hand and graveyard if able.

a) The Horde cannot use Unearth abilities (i.e. Dregscape Zombie) of creatures that have entered its graveyard during the turn they were placed in the graveyard.

b) The Horde cannot cast cards with Flashback (i.e. Army of the Damned that have entered its graveyard during the turn they were placed in the graveyard.

c) If the Horde pays any additional costs (i.e. Kicker, Multikicker, tax effects like Sphere of Resistance and Rhystic Study, Cumulative Upkeep, etc.).

d) If the Horde has any cards in its hand during its discard phase, the Horde discards cards from its hand until it has 0 cards.

4) The Horde attacks a random player if able with all creatures it controls that are able to attack that turn. There are notable exceptions:

a) Cemetery Reaper will use its activated ability on creatures in its opponents' graveyards during the precombat main phase. If there are no creatures in its opponents' graveyards, it will attack if able.

b) Lord of the Accursed will use its activated ability at the beginning of the Horde's combat phase if the Horde controls at least 4 Zombie creatures. If the Horde does not control at least 4 Zombie creatures at the beginning of its combat phase, Lord of the Accursed will attack if able.

c) Lord of the Undead will use its activated ability during its precombat main phase if there is a Zombie creature in the Horde's graveyard. If there are no creatures in the Horde's graveyard, it will attack if able.

d) Whenever a Zombie would be destroyed when the Horde controls a Zombie Master, only a maximum of 2X (X is the number of opponents) can be regenerated with Zombie Master's ability, prioritizing Zombies that have "other zombies you control gain +1/+1", then Zombies with the highest power.

5) Whenever the Horde would lose life or receive poison counters, it instead puts that amount of cards from the top of its library into its graveyard.

a) The Horde cannot lose the game to any alternative win condition effects (i.e. Laboratory Maniac, commander damage, etc.).

b) Furthermore, players cannot win the game until the Horde has been defeated.
